Travis Long, arrested on suspicion of rape

CONWAY, AR – Conway Police have arrested a man for allegedly raping a 16-year-old after helping her family move.

The suspect is 30-year-old Travis Long, of North Little Rock.

Police say the victim told them that Long is her sister’s ex-boyfriend and he was helping the family move.

The victim told police that after the move Long, her mother, and her sister had some drinks. After they all went to bed, the victim tells police that she woke up to him in her room several times and asked him to leave.

The victim says the last time he came in he raped her.

Police say the victim told her sister and mom and they took her to the hospital. Long was arrested afterward.

@Qjq_mad - Unfortunately there are idiots everywhere and stupidity knows no race. If you desire to live somewhere else, then it is a free country. However, don't fool yourself into believing that you can escape completely from violence or the stupidity of others.

I hear a lot of people say that sometimes the younger victims sometimes get wrapped up with an older person and then things go wrong so they yell rape. It doesnt matter the situation, the older person should have enough common sense to realize that it is not right, or legal, for them to engage in any type of relationship with a minor. I'm not saying that is the case here, just making a statement. But if this guy did do this, and he is found guilty, then he should never see daylight again.
