LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Two more defendants charged in a corruption and narcotics investigation in eastern Arkansas have pleaded guilty to drug-related charges.

Neither Leon Edwards nor Russell Taylor said much as they entered the pleas in federal court in Little Rock on Tuesday. Prosecutors agreed to drop the other charges against the men as part of the plea deal. Prosecutors also recommended a 22-year sentence for Edwards.

There was not a recommended sentence read aloud for Taylor. Both men will be formally sentenced at a later date.

Taylor and Edwards were among the 71 people indicted as part of a probe known as Operation Delta Blues that focused on Helena-West Helena. Five law enforcement officers were indicted in the investigation.

More than a dozen people have entered guilty pleas so far.
