RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Two men from Texas are dead from injuries sustained when an all-terrain vehicle they were riding hit a tree in Pope County.

Arkansas State Police say the ATV hit a tree when it veered off a Forrest Service road on Saturday.

Pronounced dead at the scene were 44-year-old John Andrew Beard of Spring, Texas, and 48-year-old Jonathan Norvell West of Humble, Texas.

The crash report says Beard was driving and failed to negotiate a leftward curve and went off the right side of the road.

I know Butch. I was saying that in reference to the lack of accurate info given in this article.

I didn't call it anything. Just what it was. Polaris RZR.

Butch, I said from what this article mentioned, which was not the type of ATV, one would think they were riding the same ATV, and they were. A Polaris RZR is NOT an ATV, it is a UTV. Someone needs to get the facts straight when they file a report or report this as news.

And before someone ask me how I know what they were riding I read it in the Arkansas State Police report.

A Polaris RZR is made with 2 side by side seats. It's made for 2 people. They were not on what most people picture as an ATV. I guess it was wise because that is what there made for. The operation of the thing might have been wrong.

Respect these ATVs people, they do not have a mind of their own. Its tragic that two lives were lost. Even if you think you're an "experienced rider", you better heed the warnings posted on the machine. From what I gather from the article, the two men were on the same ATV. That in itself is not wise, although many do it.

Hey Quzzler - John didn't drink! Beer or any other alcoholic beverages, so why don't YOU shut up and think about the effect your nasty comments may have on others. Personally, I think you're a stupid moron for speaking about things you know absolutely nothing about.
