LONOKE, AR - Authorities arrested two men after a pursuit that began with a homeowner reporting that he saw the men leaving his house.
Lt. James Kulesa says the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office received a report of a possible burglary Tuesday evening in Lonoke. The caller said there was an SUV parked in his driveway when he came home and two men ran from behind his house and fled in the vehicle.
State Police saw the vehicle at the intersection of Highway 70 and Highway 15 and initiated a pursuit. The chase ended in Scott, AR where authorities say the men, later identified as 29-year-old Brandon Chad Norman and 23-year-old Joseph Wayne Mason, ran into a wooded area where they were caught.
According to Lt. Kulesa, during the chase Mason telephoned his wife and told her to report his vehicle stolen.
Both men were arrested and charged with breaking and entering, theft of property and residential burglary. Charges related to the chase have yet to be filed.
