LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A federal judge has denied bail for two of five law enforcement officers indicted after a four-year investigation into corruption and drug trafficking in eastern Arkansas.

Both Robert "Bam Bam" Rogers and Robert Wahls were detained following bond hearings Friday in federal court in Little Rock.

Authorities say Rogers thought he was protecting shipments of drugs when he accepted $500 to escort a person posing as a drug trafficker through the Mississippi Delta. An FBI special agent testified that Wahls had allegedly taken money three separate times to transport what he thought was cocaine.

The three other officers indicted in Operation Delta Blues are expected to appear in court next week for bond hearings.

Authorities say 70 people were indicted in the case and 67 have been arrested.

Every one of them if not contained will leave and then be in mexico with cartels shiping drugs, they know the laws and know the way around the laws. They can tell them what local law is looking for and not, how to monitor radios and now even FBI. Lock them up, pure scum each and every one of them, and if they really check I will even bet it will drift in to your politicans.

They should be denied bond. They are flight risks, period. They are, or WERE police officers. They know the ins and outs of the law enforcement community and could use that to their advantage to avoid being captured. Leave them in jail, let them think of how many WRONGS they have committed. Worst type of person there can ever be is a corrupt police officer. They are there to serve and protect US, not to help themselves to a better life. They are nothing more than common criminals and should be treated as such. NO SPECIAL TREATMENT FOR CORRUPT COPS!

Personally I don't think any of the people arrested should have a bond set, most of are probably a flight risk. The officers, if you want to call them that, are probably the highest risk.
