2 killed in Conway County wreck

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Two women in a Ford Escort were killed Monday when their car crossed into oncoming traffic and hit a Mack Truck.

Arkansas State Police say the accident happened around 1:20pm on Highway 9 at Birdtown. According to the report, the Escort drove off the right shoulder going southbound, over corrected, and crossed into northbound traffic.

Both the driver, 37-year-old Stephanie Woolverton, and passenger, 16-year-old Crystal McCoy, were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were wearing their seatbelts.

The accident report list Woolverton and McCoy as living at the same address in Clinton, AR.
