2 pedestrians hit on Cantrell

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police say two 17 year olds are in serious condition after being struck by an SUV on Cantrell Road in front of Stein Mart.

Police are still investigating but say the driver of the SUV did try to swerve to miss the teens.

So far, no charges have been filed.

You couldn't pay me to cross Cantrell there, it's hard enough in a car, never mind on foot... If you've ever tried to pull out of the Damgoode Pies or Casa Mañana parking lot across traffic you know what I'm talking about.

I guess some people think that crosswalks are all over town just for the hell of it...I see people jay walking all the time, just a few blocks from the crosswalk, holding up traffic and just begging to get ran over. maddening
