LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police were called out 7810 Bradley Road Tuesday night to investigate a fight that resulted in two people getting shot.
According to the police report, 20-year-old Bennie Lanes was in the home of Kim Caffey with a gun to her head, demanding money over a “disputed debt.” At that time, Caffey’s nephew, Adam Darrough, and his girlfriend, Jada Latimer, came into Caffey’s house and began wrestling with Lanes, trying to get the gun away. As they were involved with Lanes, the gun went off two to four times.
Latimer was grazed on the hand and thigh. She was treated and released from Baptist Hospital.
Lanes was found at UAMS with a gunshot through his left thigh. Police say Lanes told them he was shot on Chicot Road and his brother took him to the hospital.
Lanes was taken from UAMS and booked into the Pulaski County Jail Wednesday afternoon. He is charged with 1st degree battery and aggravated assault. He is being held on $15,000 bond.
