LITTLE ROCK, AR – A North Little Rock man was sentenced to two years in prison for embezzling more than a quarter-million dollars from his company’s employee profit sharing plan.
Leander J. Muncy, III pleaded guilty to the crime back in February and was sentenced Tuesday in Federal Court. In addition to the prison time, Muncy has to pay $268,719.80 in restitution and serve 3 years of supervised release.
According to the Department of Justice, from 2004 to 2010, Muncy served as trustee of Vouk Transportation Inc.’s profit sharing plan. Muncy was also served as President and Vice-President of the company during that time. In his plea, Muncy says he embezzled $270,707.94 from the plan.
Muncy will begin his prison sentence starting July 16th.
