CONWAY, AR - Police say someone broke into more than 20 self-storage units at U-Save Self-Storage in Conway.
"If it's one it's probably too many," said Conway Police Spokesperson Latresha Woodruff, "but when you hear about at least 21, then that is cause for alarm."
Pretty much all police officers know right now is someone cut the locks off the storage unit doors to get in. They're not sure what that someone took though. They say a lot of the phone numbers for listed renters no longer work. Meaning, police aren't just looking for suspects, they're looking for victim's too.
"Some people don't even know that they've been victimized in some instances because we were not able to get in contact with them," said Woodruff.
That's where you come in. Maybe you rent one of the units or know someone who does. If that's the case, police say you or your friend could be missing some stuff, and they'd like you to give them a call.
"It's pretty hard to tell right now, without being in touch with everyone who was affected by this, how much was taken out of those units and, you know, a dollar amount on that," Woodruff said.
U-Save Self Storage advertises "security lighting," and police say after the break-ins -- the company replaced all of the broken locks .
