3 arrested in connection to Benton aggravated burglary

Benton police have arrested 3 suspects in connection to an aggravated burglary and shooting that happened June 22nd.

BENTON, AR – Benton police have arrested 3 suspects in connection to an aggravated burglary and shooting that happened June 22nd.

Arrested are Arquis Jones, 28, Kimothy Collins, 37, and Delisha Reatherford, 23. The Benton Police Department says Collins and Reatherford are currently parolee’s and Collins is a registered sex offender.

Police say they originally responded a disturbance near Dixie and Thompson Streets. Once there, they heard gunshots around the corner at Little and Thompson Streets. Police say the three suspects involved in the disturbance had broken into a home on 1512 Dixie Street prior to the shots being fired. Police say the shots were fired at random and no victims came forward.

Collins and Reatherford were arrested on scene. Jones fled from police and was arrested July 1st. Collins and Reatherford are both charged with Aggravated Residential Burglary (Y-Felony) and Battery 3rd Degree (A-Misdemeanor). Jones was arrested on a warrant for Aggravated Residential Burglary (Y-Felony), Battery 3rd Degree (A-Misdemeanor), Possession of a Firearm by Certain Persons (B-Felony), and Fleeing (A-Misdemeanor).
