4 men indicted on race crime charges

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Four men have been indicted on federal charges after they allegedly targeted an interracial couple's home in northern Arkansas with a Molotov cocktail.

An indictment handed down Thursday charges the Arkansas men with interfering with the couple's housing rights and using fire to commit a felony, among other crimes.

Authorities arrested two of the men, Jason Barnwell and Gary Dodson, last month. Both were denied bond and are in custody.

Thursday's indictment also charges Barnwell's girlfriend, Wendy Treybig, with obstruction of justice for her role in allegedly trying to cover up the incident.

Prosecutors claim the four men drove to the married couple's mobile home in Hardy, Ark., and lobbed Molotov cocktails at the trailer. Court documents allege that Dodson drove, but did not actually throw a Molotov cocktail.
