Where was the appropriate test security measures? They do better with the ACTAAP testing that teachers are held to... Yet one more bad topic in the media. Not ALL teachers cheated. I went to school and studied hard to pass mine...

I bet there are a few nervous "teachers" running around waiting for their name to hit and then hopefully the boards have enough backbone to fire them. ALSO catch this tid bit from a Memphis TV station web site... (wreg)If true, I wonder where? "...Mumford is currently out on bond from the Tunica County Jail, where he was charged with driving under the influence and indecent exposure. He has been convicted in Shelby County of driving under the influence. He was also accused in 2010 of fondling a female student. He retired from Memphis City Schools that same year and is now working at a school in Arkansas. ..."

My concern is not only for the students, but what does this say about the teachers who can't pass the PRAXIS? They are the ones "teaching" the students who are being cheated by his crime.

No mention of the children who were "cheated" by his crime. It's all about the "poor" old man trying to make a differance to get the deserving teachers ahead that were held back for yearrs.

I bet he wouldn't be one of those low-lifes you find at the Wal-Mart parking lot with no disabilities but has a blue handicap tag hanging from his rear view mirror
