ASU's Aplin named a Sun Belt player of week

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Arkansas State quarterback Ryan Aplin has been named the Sun Belt Conference's offensive player of the week.

The conference announced the award Monday after Aplin ran for four touchdowns and threw for another in leading ASU to a 39-21 win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday.

Louisiana-Lafayette linebacker Devon Lewis-Buchanan is the conference defensive player of the week after recording 12 tackles in a 36-35 win over Louisiana-Monroe.

Louisiana-Lafayette kicker Brett Baer is the special teams player of the week.
