LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The head of a Little Rock-based technology and marketing services company says officials want to hire between 300 and 400 people as the company expands into digital media.
Acxiom Corp. President and CEO Scott Howe told Arkansas Business last week the new jobs are part of a $30 million investment into research and development. Most of the employees would be software developers.
The publication reported details of the interview on Monday.
Howe says because of competition from California and other metropolitan areas, officials expect many of the new Acxiom hires to come from central Arkansas. About 20 people have been hired so far.
Acxiom presently employs about 500 people at its headquarters.
