'American Bandstand' host Dick Clark has died

Dick Clark, the ever-youthful television host and tireless entrepreneur who helped bring rock 'n' roll into the mainstream on "American Bandstand," and later produced and hosted a vast range of programming from game shows to the year-end countdown from Times Square on "New Year's Rockin' Eve," has died. He was 82.

YES HE WILL TRULY BE MISSED I HAD WATCHED HIM FOR MANY MANY YEARS ON AMERICAN BANDSTAND I REMEMBER EVERY SATURDAY WE WOULD GO SHOPPING AFTER THAT SHOW WENT OFF!!! HE WAS INVOLVED IN A BUNCH OF SHOWS THAT I WATCHED WHATEVER SHOW 8IT WAS HE MADE IT A HIT!!! RIP LOVE YOU D. CLARK

I always dreaded this day. D. Clark was an amazing soul and I was blessed to have met him back in the 80's. I was a kid that grew up on Soul Train and American Bandstand. May Gob bless you and RIP D. Clark you will be missed.
