Apple enthusiasts camping out for new phone

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The new iPhone 4S goes on sale Friday morning, and Apple fans in Little Rock are camping out to get their hands on the first ones.

People are a waiting in line for the doors to open at 8:00am at the Apple store at the Promenade.

Some people brought chairs and books, while others came prepared with a tent pitched in the middle of the line.

The first man in line is T.J. Wilson who has been waiting since Wednesday. Wilson says he enjoys meeting new people at these events, and is very excited to see all the new features on the latest iPhone.

Go L J! I wish i could have gone to wait with you, but I'm not eligible for the full upgrade yet! Only a few more hours before you get your phone! I m so happy for you, enjoy it. Those haters are probably the folks who can't afford a iPhone! LOL!! Shake em off! Get that phone!! Good luck!

The first person in line is LJ, not TJ (I am him - I should know). Also, I didn't lose any pay while I was here waiting. There is this little benefit called "vacation time" and I have plenty to spare :).

To "T.J": with the money you could have made working since yesterday, you could have paid for the "S" upgrade to the iPhone 4 with cash rather than putting it on the ol' Visa card. It's a phone, people! It still calls out and receives calls, it still sends and receives text messages, it gets on the Internet, it gets e-mail. Smartphones have been doing that for ten years or so now.
