LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas' largest union has made its endorsements for the fall elections but took no position in the 2nd District congressional race.

The Arkansas AFL-CIO announced Tuesday members voted at their convention to support Democrats Scott Ellington and Gene Jeffress in their congressional races.

Ellington opposes 1st District Rep. Rick Crawford and Jeffress is running for the 4th District seat against Tom Cotton, both Republicans. The union is backing Green Party candidate Rebekah Kennedy in her challenge of Republican Rep. Steve Womack, a race in which the Democrat has dropped out.

Arkansas AFL-CIO President Alan Hughes says 2nd District Democratic challenger Herb Rule didn't fill out a questionnaire or send a representative to the convention. Hughes says not endorsing Rule is not a de facto endorsement of incumbent Republican Tim Griffin.

Good question BBD; where is MADD? Perhaps if Herb was a Republican, we'd be hearing from them.

Mr. Rule needs to sit down and quit the race. His ideals and thoughts are not productive to today's society--basically he his antiquated. Besides Drinking and Driving--where is MADD?
