Wednesday, President Barack Obama became the first U.S. President to support gay marriage. While that news is not sitting well with some Arkansans, others say attitudes on same-sex marriage in Arkansas are changing.

I fully support gay/lesbian marriage. EVERYONE wants to bring the Bible in this. It has NOTHING to do with the Bibe so drop it. EVERYONE says that they are not judging but YOU ARE when you even think to say the words "Gays/lesbians DO NOT belong together" or "You dont support gay/lesbian marriage". If being gay/lesbian is a sin, well who ever is judging is sinning also and a seat will be waiting for you as well. Im tired of people using the Bible. Its not the Bible stoping people from supporing gays/lesbians, its the peoples own opinions. Well guess what, gays/lesbians these days are in longer relationships than you straight people. Why do you get to be happy? Because your straight? Because you with a man/woman? Straights dont have to stand up for anything. Gays/lesbians have to defend themselves, stand up for themselves, voice their love for someone. STRAIGHTS DONT. LET GAYS/LESBIANS GET MARRIED. straights are just made seeing relationships last longer than theirs. (No offense to the people who are straight and support gay/lesbian marriage.)

I highly support gay marriage! I say if the christens dont like it and see it as offensive and blasphemy then they should follow there own religion and "turn the other cheek"! People in the gay community are vry tired of having to hide themselves because of ppl doing crazy thing such as killing and bashing on gays because there "doing gods work" or some other crazy reason that extremists have rationalized in there heads. All were asking is to have equal rights and to be treated equally!

Rights are rights, period. African-Americans had to fight for their rights just like the LGBT community is doing today. In the not-so-distant future this will be a non-issue. Progress is being made, slowly but surely!

23 Don’t have anything to do with foolish and stupid arguments, because you know they produce quarrels. 24 And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. 25 Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, 26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. ~2Timothy

Obama doesnt know if he is a Christian or not, hell, he doesnt even know if he's black or not. He chooses to be whatever it takes to get a vote. Next you may hear of him speaking at a KKK rally saying his distant relatives were members. He is an idiot that should have NEVER been voted in. I do not condone homosexuality, but it isnt my place to condemn those that are gay or support them. Those that say they are Christians and say that gays are going to hell, then you may as well reserve a seat next to them for casting judgement. Doesnt the Bible say it isnt our place to judge others? Like I said, I do not condone homosexuality, but I'm not a hyprocrite either. Let them do as they please while they are here, they will have to answer to God for it, not me.

@randalbean, there are 50 sovereign states that unite under the Constitution..before you exaggerate, maybe you should take a US government and history class to help refresh your memory b/c I'm not going to explain it to you....I'm not opposed to gay marriage by the way...

Dear wpsark: You mean you think Arkansas should be it's own country? To be sovereign the Arkansas state government would have to print money - and we'd still be a 3rd-world-country. You and Texas Governor Rick Perry should get together to work against gay marriage and to turn Texas into it's own country.

I believe roosters have more sense than some people because you won't find two roosters walking arm in arm.Gays better wake up before it is too late.

Marriage is a common right. This means that people may freely get married without asking the government permission to do so. Marriage is not a privilege. Common rights are given by God. God created marriage, God instituted marriage; no human government instituted marriage. So who are we to change what God created? Im sorry but its wrong for gays to get married and if your a Christian and you live by the word in the Bible, you will know that. If your a Christian and you choose to agree with Gay rights its called blasphemy and no human can ever change Gods word and what he expects from us. It states in the Bible not to add to or take away from his word. I pray for our country. This world is getting very scary.
