THAONE...FIRST, LEATHERNECK WAS ONLY POINTING OUT HOW RIDICULOUS OUR PRIORITIES ARE.... WE PLACE MORE IMPORTANCE ON ATHLETICS THAN EDUCATION AND TRAINING OF KIDS. I LISTEN TO POLICE DISPATCH ALL DAY (AND NIGHT) AND THE POLICE ARE RUNNING THEIR TIRES OFF FROM CALL TO CALL...SOME OF THE MOST RIDICULOUS CALLS YOU CAN IMAGINE...ESPECIALLY RUNAWAYS (15 MINUTES), DRUGGIES LAYING IN THE INTERSECTION, A PARKING LOT, OR CAUSING A DISTURBANCE IN A STORE, THREATENING SUICIDE, NEED A POLICEMAN TO COME BY BECAUSE MY DOGS HAVE BEEN BARKING A LOT AT NIGHT, SOMEONE IS MESSING WITH MY BATHTUB, SOMEONE IS MESSING WITH MY BED...UNBELIEVABLE. WE EITHER NEED MORE POLICE, CARS, AND K-9S, OR OFFICERS NEED TO BE RELIEVED OF ALL THE B.S....MARRIED COUPLES FIGHTING, SIBLINGS FIGHTING, CHILDREN ASSAULTING THEIR MOTHER...COMEON....THIS IS NOT POLICE WORK....WHEN DID THESE PEOPLE DECIDE IT WAS THE POLICE'S RESPONSIBILITY TO REFEREE ADULTS WITH EACH OTHER AND THEIR CHILDREN? IGNORANCE IS THE NAME OF THIS

Ok this article is absolutely rediculous. Why didn't they post the other most dangerous cities in America? Why didn't they post who conducted the study? Why didn't they link to the study so we can see what they used to determine what cities are dangerous? I searched the internet trying to find the study and found an FBI study of the 10 most dangerous cities and none in arkansas made the list http://opishposh.com/most-dangerous-cities-in-america/ One would think that chicago and oakland ca and camden nj would be more dangerous than Little Rock but they didn't make the list.

Spend more on law enforcement and less on sports. Pay millions of dollars for a coaching staff using state taxpayer money and then say you don't have the funds for teahers and first responders. Then all you get is a bunch of undisciplined so called athletes that get in trouble while crime goes up as well as coaches salaries. If you never get your priorities right nothing will ever change. Look at the drama that the Mama started with her son in Florida. All she wanted was for her son to have to spotlight during the signing. Stop treating these high school kids and college students like they are somebody. Still wet behind the ears and all the football fans do is glorify them.

Well, it doesn't help when the police are part of the problem and not part of the solution.

Little Rock got a tax increase for more police and fireman even though they already had more than most major cities in America. Maybe the police should just do their job and the crime would go down!
