Arkansas Tech shuts down fraternity following hazing allegations

Arkansas Tech University has shut down a fraternity following charges filed in connection to hazing allegations.

This same fraternity was banned from the UCA campus three years ago for the same thing. And when they aren't branding pledges or beating them half to death, they have shootouts and drugs at their fraternity parties. They haven't been allowed to have their fraternity parties on the UCA campus for nearly 20 years and just about every place in Conway refuses to host their parties anymore.

The fraternity only had three members? Thats funny. Apparently no one wanted to belong. Those involved should be thrown out of school and charged with the crimes. When I was in college, the only thing pledges had to do were several embarrassing things. Attend sporting events dressed as a cheerleader, walk the campus and ask people for stupid items like a purple comb or a piece of red string. We had to clean bathrooms all of campus with small brushes. Things that were funny and sometimes fun. This whole "take an ass whipping for your brothers" thing is just stupid.

Boy you got that right about it being around to long. All the way back in my memory I can remember getting a hazy look through me eyes when I drank or smoked to much. What it's the wrong king. Excuse me.

Amen Layla37. It's like some of the kids go to college just to pledge and to be honest, that's it. Hazing is a cycle- one person beat down an individual one year, the next year that same individual beat down another individual the following year and this goes on and on. How dumb can a person be to go through humilation of being hazed.

Good!!! Hazing has been a problem for yrs and has caused death. There should never be tolerance to hazing.
