LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Gas prices in Arkansas have dropped by more than 30 cents per gallon over the past month.

The AAA says the average price Monday for a gallon of unleaded gas was $3.46 in Arkansas. That's down from an average price of $3.77 a month ago and from last week's average of $3.55.

The national average Monday was $3.72.

Around the state, the Fort Smith and Little Rock metropolitan areas had the lowest average, at $3.41 a gallon. Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers came in at $3.43, while both Pine Bluff and Texarkana were at $3.48 per gallon.

If gas stays about where it's at now in price, look for the Arkansas politicians to start hollering about raising the tax on gas.

It is when the oil companies report that they made billions in profit that I get upset. If they are reporting billions in profit, they ARE RIPPING US OFF! Only to line THEIR greedy pockets with OUR hard earned monies. If they are making that much in profits, then they can lower the prices so we don't have to spend our grocery, medication money to make them wealthy,

Amen sparrowhawk they have us where they want us depending on fuel to get back and forth to work. So they just keep playing the same old game playing with the fuel prices all they want because they know that we have to have it. All we are doing is making the investers richer and the poor poorer. The big wigs in in america that have stock in petroleum just keep getting richer so they don't realy care about the rest of us just so they keep getting their money.

MOST people would be excited about a 30 cent drop, but not me. After they spiked it up over $2.00 a gallon from where it was a couple of years ago and it almost hit $4.00 a gallon, the government has people convinced that when it drops 30 cents, things are great. They ran the price up, so they can slightly lower it and make us all happy. BS
