LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The average price for a gallon of gas in Arkansas has risen 10 cents in the past week.

The AAA says the average price Monday is $3.52 for a gallon of unleaded gas. That's up from $3.42 a week ago.

Around the state, the Little Rock-North Little Rock metro area had the most expensive gas at $3.53 a gallon. Texarkana follows at $3.52 and Fort Smith is $3.50 per gallon.

The Pine Bluff area reported gas at $3.49 per gallon, and the Fayetteville area was at $3.48.

The national average is $3.69 per gallon. A national survey says the average U.S. price of a gallon of gasoline has jumped 18 cents over the past two weeks.

These "gas prices going up" stories sound very familiar to what we heard back in 2008. It's going to be worse this time, in my opinion.

AND - the resale value of SUV's and large trucks just went down a ton so don't think about getting rid of the monster now unless you want to take a beating.
