50something, I would, but there are a few problems. I would have to find a way to make myself a complete idiot, lower my morals and standards, seek and hire the most ignorant people to house jobs and other stuff. I think I'll stick to running my lil business (until the govt. makes it impossible for me to turn a profit) and give the politicians hell with letters and emails. Atleast then I can get a good nights sleep knowing I havent spent all day f'ing up the country and wasting tax dollars.

The fact that everything is going up is false. Income and wages are not going up. But according to our govt. (who would never lie to us) jos are on the rise, taxes are on the decrease, America has affordable health care, the economy is on a drastic rise. I am one of the few lucky ones that did get a raise at the first of the year. 3% COLA and 5% on my salary. So, I got a 8% increase in salary. Some would say "hey man, thats awesome, thats gonna be a big help to your household." I now pay more in taxes due to the increase in my salary, health care increased big time and I am not one of those that get the big refunds. My taxes go to those on welfare and the other mooches out there. Add my 8% to my salary, then deduct the increased taxes and healthcare and the other things Uncle Sam reams out of me, and I am actually making 6 1/4% LESS than I was before the raise. Isnt it grand to know youre getting a raise, just to go backwards? I wish a big wind would come across the White House lawn, catch Obama's big ears and carry his sorry butt off to where he belongs. Overseas. This piece of crap has done nothing but cost me tons of money.

And what makes it way worse is that it does not have to be this way! We have a President that does NOT care about you and I. While we are caught up in the whirlpool of life trying to survive, Obama is Now worth a wopping $10million since he's been in office and doesnt care how high gas prices get because he can afford it! The Keystone Pipeline alone would have made us non dependent on the crazies that we purchase our oil from! We could have made our purchase of oil from our friends in Canada and created huge amounts of jobs and revenue from the building of the Pipeline. We The People have to VOTE OBAMA OUT! we cannot go on this way!

Nope Charlie, we CANNOT afford another 4 years of Osama!! This gas deal is huge and it effects all of the goods and services we consume. As a business owner, I can honestly tell you that the businesses do not pay for their fuel, the consumer pays for their gas, it is simple overhead built into the cost of goods sold.

charlie c~ I'm sick to my stomach now. I just hope and pray that people will not be so stupid as to re-elect this country's 'non-leader'! It's been nothing but one disaster after another.

Say what ever you will but we have had gas problems before. Only thing is back then we all had jobs and could pay for just didnt have it. Now it hurts more because of the unemployment rate. Here is how it works, and I do know because I have worked now on drilling rigs for 38 years. All oil and gas foreign and domestic is sent to the stock exchange, where there is a set price that we all pay the same as countries with NO oil fields have to pay. Obama has made sure to kill as much drilling in America that we are all dependent on foreign oil, Killed millions of jobs with the pipe line coming from Canada, millions of jobs means the jobs for running the pipe line, the cloths that are sold to the workes, food to feed the workers, the housing, and the refineries built and run here in America. Now you think it just hits the cars that you drive but think of this, the computer you use, cell phones, tires on cars, bikes, womens makeup,tv's,vinyl on your floor, everything that is plastic or rubber is a oil product. So I ask you can we really afford another 4 years of Obama? I cant, This is just the beginning. You think gas prices are high now? Wait another 4 years if liberals put this non leader back in again. Oh and who knew that Obama has sent 8.7 BILLION dollars to Brazil for oil and gas production and at the same time KILLED the same thing here in America, and not one dime of that $8.7 billion has ever been paid back......FACT....

The highest price I saw back in the summer of 2008 was $3.999 at the Murphy USA station across from Walmart in Bryant. The problem is this: one of two things will happen. One - it will (finally) be determined that these high prices cannot be sustained and they will fall as they did in Fall 2008 thru Spring 2009. The economic "recovery" will continue to limp along as it is now. Two - the high prices will continue to march higher and this "recovery" will grind to a halt and we will recess into a greater depression, the likes of which we may never get out of. The country will be Greece, part II and we will never recognize it again.
