Arkansas geologist says quakes, fracking not connected

An Arkansas Geological Survey official says there's no correlation between the hydraulic fracturing method used to extract natural gas and recent earthquakes in central Arkansas, but he said the deep-well disposal of liquids used in the process may be a factor.

First, Ausbrooks is said to have said there is no connection. Next he is said to have said the issue needs more study. Next, the reporter observes Ausbrooks confirms that there has been a connection between fracking and earthquakes elsewhere. The reporter and the editor should be fired, and it is obvious that Ausbrooks is getting pressure from above his level to deny the obvious here in the great state of Oblivion.
