LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — A hurricane warning is posted for the Louisiana coast and Arkansas is within the area forecast to get wind and rain from Tropical Storm Isaac.
The storm was off the Florida Keys on Sunday with the storm projected to make landfall Wednesday.
Meteorologist Matthew Clay at the National Weather Service Office in North Little Rock says the forecast could change and that computer models don't all agree on the storm's trajectory.
Tropical systems tend to slow once they hit land, and Clay says the storm could affect Arkansas on Thursday and Friday.
Clay says rainfall of two to five inches is possible in parts of the state. He says that won't be enough rain to break the drought.
Winds could be between 20 mph and 30 mph, with higher gusts.
