Bagpipe groups, Irish themed floats, firetrucks and police cars wound through downtown Little Rock across the Arkansas River and through the streets of North Little Rock for today’s 2012 Rock to North Little Rock St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Hundreds of people, many dressed appropriately in green, lined the twin city parade route to see the procession. Spectators scrambled for candy, beads and balloons that were tossed or handed out by participants. It was a diverse crowd, including all age groups taking in the fun.

The Parade is organized by the Irish Cultural Society of Arkansas and is in its thirteenth year. The North Little Rock Visitors Bureau is the presenting sponsor.

We’ll have all of the sights and sounds of this year’s parade tonight on Fox 16 News.
