The only reason the "unemployment rate dropped to 7.1%" Is the people has run out of benefits. Watch now how the welfare will now increase to make up this drop in unemployment. This is pure liberal propaganda.

Didn't I recently read something about "People are leaving Arkansas because of the lack of jobs?" and wasn't there a high ranking elected official calling it BS. Maybe that explains the 'The number of both employed and unemployed Arkansans declined this month, resulting in a decrease in the size of the civilian labor force.' Back Yard Burgers just closed several locations. LM just layed off a bunch of folks. Kind of makes them numbers look like someone is trying to pull the wool over the voter's eyes.

The reason and only reason that Arkansas unemployment rate declined is because the benefit year ended for everybody the last week of September. When everybody gets a chance to file again for a new benefit year, the rate will go back up!!!

When people leave the workforce (i.e., retire, quit looking for work or take a part-time job at a substantial net-income decrease) they're no longer counted against the 'unemployed.' So, using the new math of this administration, 800 fewer employed means 800 lost their jobs. 1900 fewer unemployed means 1900 either retired, moved, died, or lost their unemployment benefits (by gettting a part time job). When the try to make it look good, 1100 fewer are unemployed, so the unemployment rate goes down. It's all crap. Try supporting a family on a part-time salary...

unless that means that the federal govt has hired more for obama's regime..TSA, IRS, obamacare workers..so there are less private sector workers than govt workers..That's not a good thing at all!
