Armed robbery at Mabelvale convenience store

MABELVALE, AR – Police are investigating an armed robbery at a convenience store in Mabelvale.

According to reports, a suspect entered the M&J Market located at 22320 North Sardis Road on December 7 around 8:30 pm. Armed with a semi-automatic handgun, he confronted the clerk and demanded money. After taking an undisclosed amount of money from the register, the suspect took the clerk into the office, stole a jar of change then fled the scene, heading south.

Police say the suspect is described as a man in his 20s, approximately 5’5” – 5’7” tall, weighing 130-160 pounds. He was wearing a grey pullover shirt with a blue ski mask over his face and white athletic shoes.
