LITTLE ROCK, AR - A man was arrested Sunday morning after he led police on a high speed through Lonoke, Jefferson, and Pulaski counties.
England Police originally responded to a call from a woman who said her boyfriend was trying to run her off the road. After police attempted to stop the car, the driver took off, leading police on a chase in excess of 100mph.
Police chased the suspect, believed to be Robert Goodwin, through 3 counties before losing him. Several hours later, around 9:45am, police found Godwin’s car at a home in Pulaski County on Highway 161. There, they found him barricaded inside a shed.
While waiting for backup, police say Goodwin fled into a nearby field. An England K-9 Unit tracked him and found him lying in a field, where he was arrested.
Goodwin is charged with felony fleeing and aggravated assault. Police say he was also wanted on two outstanding warrants as well.
