SEARCY, AR - Searcy police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery and murder of Zach Mitchell.

Searcy police confirmed the arrest of Ross Wood, 20, on an aggravated robbery charge related to the theft of Mitchell's wallet.

Wood is being held in the White County Detention Facility on a $500,000 bond.  He made his first court appearance on the aggravated robbery charge Tuesday morning.

No charges have been filed related to Mitchell's murder, however Searcy PD spokesperson Terri Lee says additional arrests are possible.

Mitchell, 24, was found shot to death Sunday evening at a medical clinic in Searcy where he was helping out for extra cash. Mitchell worked for Bryce Corporation but was on leave due to a medical condition. He was helping out at Nephology Associates for extra money when the shooting happened.

Fardy ever got a ticket...what did you learn from it...the fine you paid was revenue not punishment....if its collecting revenue for whatever municipality.....then ITS A TAX...i personally have no problem paying taxes...that are called taxes...if your paying taxes that aren't called a tax then it extorsion (not sure if thats spelled correctly)this is pretty plain and simple...and something needs to be done about...ever met one of those people that say just pay the fine its cheaper...its almost like a mantra just pay the fine oooohhh...sounds like a bit of democrat stfu while i stick my hand in your pocket tax and spend socialism to me

Many of us are in need of money but we don't go out and rob and kill people. So sad for the man's family

You call it good Police work when the criminal is apprehended, You then call it revenue collection when the Police catch you ! Tired of paying those hefty fines ?! get your cranium out from your rectum !

Now that's what we pay the police to do. Solve crimes not collect revenue with laws that label non-violent people as criminals. Years ago we were innocent until proven guilty, now days everyone is a suspect and your guilty until you can prove your innocent.

No amount of police work can match the outcome as when the criminal is a moron.

So..was this guy so stupid he used Zach Mitchell's credit/debit cards? Well, I'm glad! Either way, what a SENSEless crime. Money/drugs/money = is that really all that motivates people these days??? And before anyone says anything, this guy is whiter than my @ss! So, it doesn't matter what color a thug's skin is - - it's environment immersion and the WILL to do bad!
