SEARCY, AR - Searcy police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery and murder of Zach Mitchell.
Searcy police confirmed the arrest of Ross Wood, 20, on an aggravated robbery charge related to the theft of Mitchell's wallet.
Wood is being held in the White County Detention Facility on a $500,000 bond. He made his first court appearance on the aggravated robbery charge Tuesday morning.
No charges have been filed related to Mitchell's murder, however Searcy PD spokesperson Terri Lee says additional arrests are possible.
Mitchell, 24, was found shot to death Sunday evening at a medical clinic in Searcy where he was helping out for extra cash. Mitchell worked for Bryce Corporation but was on leave due to a medical condition. He was helping out at Nephology Associates for extra money when the shooting happened.
