Asbestos found in Morrilton

The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality found asbestos in debris from a demolished building at 108 North Division Street.

The mayor is a complete idiot. Not everyone knows that they need to contact someone other than their local authorities in matters like this. The city should have told the owners that they needed to contact the state on this matter. You can ask anyone about tearing down a building and I bet the majority of them dont know the proper procedures. With that said, the contractor hired to tear them down should have known that they needed an asbestos study done. This is one of the items discussed when you become a licensed contractor, which leads me to my next question. Was the contractor licensed?

The building was built using perfectly legitimate building materials and techniques...for the time...it would appear that ADEQ is turning into a thug organization...based on the fail tenant's of UN Agenda 21
