Austin man arrested for growing marijuana

AUSTIN, AR - A man was arrested for cultivating marijuana plants at his residence Wednesday, authorities say.

Around 1:30 p.m. on March 16, 2011, officers went to a residence located on North Stage Coach road in response to information pertaining to drug activity.

Further investigation led to the locating and seizing of an estimated 8 marijuana plants, instruments used to manufacture marijuana and other drug related paraphernalia.

Police arrested the resident, 33-year-old Christopher Dunn, for the offenses of manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Dunn was taken to the Lonoke County Detention Facility.

oh and how can they say that he was manufacturing this if he wasn't selling it? dont they have to find a certain amout of cash to get him for manufacturing? you manufacture a good to sell. if no money is found, it is not being sold therefore no manufacturing!

Are people so afraid to accept the fact that marijuana is here to stay? Are they afraid that is may cause a sudden burst of free thinking people who use basic common sense in choosing what they consume? Well, I said it before if it's so wrong give me the list of manes for the people who has the morals to accept responsibility for the damages and deaths caused by what we are told is right.

Ok Lonoke Co., everyone is sick of you guys reporting every little ingrown toenail up there. Get a life, it is rediculous you Barney Fife wannabees harrass people for growing 8 plants, that's not enough to keep this guy in smoke for a month. Besides, that is a fine trailer he has and you are killing the property values up there.
