Authorities find body in northwest Arkansas river

VAN BUREN, Ark. (AP) - Crawford County officials say the body of a man has been found in the Arkansas River near Van Buren.
Officials say sheriff's investigators found the body near Goat Island, a quarter-mile upstream from Lock and Dam 12 about 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say investigators had been searching the river for a man who jumped off a bridge in the area on Nov. 16.
They believe they know the victim's identity but are withholding the information until the man's remains are positively identified and his next of kin are notified.
