ELKINS, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say a Rogers man has been arrested in the stabbing death of an Elkins man whose body was found in the White River.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office says 27-year-old Jacob Holly was arrested Sunday on suspicion of second-degree murder after divers pulled Chris Kelley's body from the White River.

Holly is also accused of stabbing Kelley's son, 22-year-old Shawn Kelley. Authorities say Shawn Kelley is in fair condition at a Washington County hospital.

The Northwest Arkansas Times reports that Kelley was initially arrested on suspicion of battery, but authorities upgraded the charges after Chris Kelley's body was found.

Holly is being held in the Washington County jail. Authorities did not know if he had an attorney.

I don't know wp; he may just get 20, and be out in 10; if he goes to the pen at all; after all, he may use the defense of being mentally defective; and we already know that he is.

So he killed a man and stabbed another, wow! why is it that if you stab someone but don't kill them, you get charged with battery and not attempted murder???? He should be charged with murder and attempted murder and receive the death penalty. Knowing AR laws, he'll be out in 20
