FORREST CITY, Ark. (AP) — Investigators in St. Francis County are looking into the deaths of two children.

According to the Times-Herald, the sheriff's office received a 911 call about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday from a woman who said her four-month-old baby wasn't breathing. A sheriff's report says paramedics told deputies Jaydin Malone had a temperature of 103 degrees.

The child's body was taken to the state crime lab to determine a cause of death. Maj. Gene Wingo says investigators haven't found any signs of foul play.

Forrest City police say a woman who called 911 about 9:30 a.m. told them her child had a fever the night before and wasn't moving when she checked following morning.

The body of 13-month-old Gabriel Mucherson was sent to the medical examiner's office.

they say some of the symptoms of West Nile virus was throwing up, and having a high fever, like you have the flu

I would think that if one's child was throwing up, and had a fever, parents would keep an eye on them. You don't drink or get high, you don't sleep, except maybe in shifts, you check the child's temperature often, and if it reaches a certain degree, you take them to the ER, regardless of what time of day or night it is.

Like FoxyLady, I to am curious if there are any similarities related to the 2 deaths. It is rather odd that 2 children in the same county had high fever the night before then passed away. Very sad needless to say. I pray for the families of the kids, it has to be heart wrenching.

I think it is news because both children are from the same county, both had high fevers before both were found unresponsive! I am assuming they are looking into disease, infection, virus...anything that would explain the similarities!

if there's no foul play suspected then why is it news? Let those families grieve
