HARRISON, Ark. (AP) — Police in northern Arkansas are searching for a man believed to have posed as a police officer to stop a woman near Harrison.
Harrison Police Capt. Paul Woodruff told the Harrison Daily Times that a man driving a car with blue lights told the woman he stopped her for speeding in late June and took her license, registration and proof of insurance. Woodruff says the man returned the documents and told her to slow down.
The woman later found among the documents a card with a man's name on it, a phone number and a note that said "call me."
Woodruff declined to reveal the name — but said there are no Harrison police officers with that name. He says the phone number is disconnected.
