Bank of America shouldn't need to charge for debit cards, they can just go up on the fee they charge for cashing a check drawn on their bank. They charge me $6 just to cash my child support. Really! That is my money and I shouldn't have to pay you to give it to me.

So Obama baled them out when they were sinking befor.... They must have started doing good... So they had to go and shoot themselves in the foot. You know it almost sounds like savatosh to me. I say let their domb tail sink. There are plenty of other banks to deal with so dont let these big overgrone punks keep trying to screw you over. They just done got too big for their britches and think they can do whatever they whant. Obama... You just prolonged the process with the bale out.

The bank says in a statement that the decision to scrap the plan came after listening to customer feedback in recent weeks. Customer feedback as in people closing millions of accounts. hhhaahhhhaaa

you're better off at a credit union anyways. Read carefully, they said they are dropping the debit card fee, they didn't say they were also dropping the monthly fee just for having a checking account. So you're still paying a fee, your fee just goes from $10 down to $5. You will never be charged monthly fees to have an account with a credit union. Most Credit Union's pay higher dividend rates as well, and you tend to get a lot better and more personable service. Better not cancel that appt. with the Credit Union just yet!

But they still charge a monthly fee for savings. I switched to Comunnity Bank today. Saves me 60 a year.
