CONWAY, AR - Police are looking for a bank robber who struck Saturday morning. Sean Canady with the Conway Police Department tells us the bandit hit the Centennial Bank branch at 2690 Donaghey Avenue. Police received the call at 9:45am Saturday morning.

Investigators say the sharp dressed bandit entered the bank displayed a gun and demanded money. He is described as in his early to mid 50's, approximately 5'10" tall, wearing a tan blazer/jacket over a black dress shirt with a tie. The suspect had slicked-back hair and was wearing dark sunglasses.

The suspect exited the building with an undisclosed amount of money. He reportedly left the scene southbound on Donaghey Avenue in an older model 4-door maroon colored sedan. I

You should give the skin color in the description of a suspect. If a "white person in a brown jacket robbed a bank", report it that way. The public needs to know what color the suspect is in case they happen to spot them. I am sick and tired of this race bullcrap.

You do not need to apologize, providing an accurate description of a suspect is diligent news reporting and can aid in apprehension. You just need to provide the same info on all suspects, white, black, mexican, chinese, etc.. and quit worrying about what is polite, when the accurate description is reported by another new station, it gets posted here anyway and really makes it look like you are trying to cover something up, all of you guys get the same police reports, just report the facts.

Using the description of 'white' was a mistake that we have now corrected. The reason we do not use 'white', 'black', 'hispanic' or any other racial description is those terms alone do not rule out enough people as suspects. How many 'white males in their 50s' are there in Central Arkansas? How many 'black males in their 20s' are there? Whenever we receive a limited description like that from law enforcement, we ask for more details and photographs. Once again, the use of 'white' in the description of this bank robber was a mistake and I apologize for that.

It's not just Fox; it's a combination of the liberal media and "political correctness". Besides; you have the problem of upsetting the NAACP, Jesse and Al, et al.

Fox can say white when decribing a suspect. They justcan't say black.

Two things, 1st, thank you so much Fox16 for letting us know it was a WHITE male!that helps us to know who to watch and look for! 2nd, I now Demand you to report BLACK male,mexican etc when it is a person of a different nationality. There is NO SHAME in this! It is pure fact and good reporting! Why did you stop saying the race anyway? when you don't we have no information to go on. Again, thank you for good pic and good reporting!
