LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police say a Simmons First National Bank in West Little Rock was robbed Thursday afternoon.

Police say that a man indicated to the teller he had a gun, received an undisclosed amount of money, and left. The suspect was driving a blue car. Surveillance shows the suspect was wearing a Yankees baseball cap during the robbery.

The bank is located on 1717 Merrill Drive.

I fail to understand why all banks do not have an armed guard at the front door to greet customers, but there again, banks have never been known to be very smart business-wise
