What good is a bigger better ER if you don't have CAPABLE AND QUALIFIED MEDICAL PERSONNEL working in it?

Privacy maybe...but patient care sucks! I went to thier NEW ER 2 weeks ago with chest pain set out in the waiting room for 6 hours with chest pain...and they could careless! I was furious wanted so bad to tell them how I felt but did not have it in me at that point! If you are having chest pains you should be taken back right then...nothing to play with! And any other serious problems for that matter! They are too worried about what the place looks like then to care for the patients! And yes there were still people in the hallway beds! And whats even worse as I was being checked in the person left her desk left her computer up and I read everyone that was in the ER and what they were there for!! DOB's everything!!! Can we say HIPPA vilation!

Insurance is the key thing at Baptist, if no insurance-No Care. That is why all of the Mexicans and indogent go to UAMS, at least it gives the Med Students something to practice on, and honestly - they pay more attention to detail than a private practice MD anyway.

The EMT, my daughter and I all told the ER crew that I had had BLACK TAR diahrea(sp?) all day the day before and I was there because I got up at 2 a.m. and couldn't breathe....THEY KICKED ME OUT WITH "We can't find anything wrong with you...you come in here sick and you are talking on the phone." I said "I won't be able to walk to the door"...they said "We will put you in a wheel chair." WELL, when my son and grandson were trying to get me to my front door I started throwing up from both ends. Called another ambulance and went the Heart Hospital..THE NEXT DAY I WAS GIVEN 6 UNITS OF BLOOD AND HAD MULTIPLE BLOOD CLOTS IN MY LUNGS. They aren't that welcoming!...I still feel like suing them. I had a quarter size hole in my stomach.
