I'm O- blood type and would love to be able to donate but I've tried once and my fear of needles took over and I couldn't do it. Just thinking about it makes me kind of light headed. When I tried to donate was when I was in the military and my whole unit was going to donate but my blood pressure shot up so high they wouldn't let me. Don't know why I fear needles or the sight of my own blood so much but I can't help it
