Beebe police battling counterfeit currency cases

They withdrew $100 from the bank and found out their money was fake. Beebe Police are battling a string of counterfeit currency cases and say the victims aren't just local businesses.

It is one thing if the counterfeit is a good one and the banks miss it, but for it to be 1000% wrong and noticable by Ray Charles, then they should catch it. Someone at the banks arent doing thier jobs.

banks will dam sure check to see if its fake before the take it from...they better check to see if its fake before they give it to ya

pretty sure if they can PROVE it came FROM a bank directly, it's on the bank - they're supposed to make sure they're not passing monopoly money. It's supposed to be our first line of defense - banks are supposed to take the bogus (and defaced/mutilated) bills out of circulation.
