Benton Police search for aggravated robbery suspect

BENTON, AR - Detectives with the Benton Police Department are asking for the public’s help in finding an aggravated robbery suspect.

According to reports, 21-year-old Ricky Bowman has an outstanding felony warrant for Aggravated Robbery and a Commitment for Possession of a Controlled Substance, No Drivers License, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Police say the aggravated robbery charge stems from an incident that occurred on Nov. 14th at Chapel Ridge Apartments when Bowman allegedly robbed a subject at gunpoint and took an undisclosed amount of money from him.

Detectives say they spoke by phone with Bowman who told them he was going to turn himself in, but has yet to do so. It is believed that Bowman is still in the central Arkansas area.

Anyone with information on the case or Bowman’s whereabouts is asked to please contact the Benton Police Department at 778-1171 or 315-TIPS.

Im not saying Ricky is not a criminal, because he most definitly is. I know of plenty of other things he has done, and not gotten caught. However, I am almost 100% sure he is completely harmless. The chances of him pulling the trigger are slim to none. I went to school with him. Have known him for years. And I am NOT justifying his actions,just saying he's harmless when it comes to hurting somebody. And he is by-far not a "ghetto thug". We are from BENTON, Arkansas for Christ's sake. There is nothing "ghetto" or "thug" about anybody in this town, no matter how hard they try to be "hard" lol

I'm glad I am not the only one that detected a little limp wristed trans-something here, not only a ghetto thug, but a gross one.

Police talked to him on the phone, is that how they do it ! Now the police wants the public's help. They need to get away from that desk talking on the phone and eating donuts and catch that fool ! He could be anywhere if he put a wig on he'll look just like a woman. I'm just saying..........
