Benton Woman Arrested for Theft after Man's Wallet Stolen

Heidie Taylor, 48, accused of taking man's property after he gave her a ride.
BENTON, AR - A Benton woman is behind bars and charged with theft after a man's wallet was stolen.

It happened last Friday when the victim gave a woman a ride and then found his wallet and credit cards missing after dropping her off.

Police detectives identified the suspect as Heidie Taylor, 48 and found her yesterday morning.

When the incident happened, police say Taylor was described as having dark hair, but when she was arrested, her hair had been dyed blonde.

When Taylor saw police, they say she tried to run away and resisted arrest after being caught.
She's charged with two counts of Theft of Property (Felony and Misdemeanor), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Fleeing, and Resisting Arrest. 

Police say Taylor also had active warrants for her arrest from Saline County and Sherwood.
