BENTON, AR – Police are on the scene of a bank robbery in Benton.

According to reports, around 12:16pm on September 6, police responded to calls about a robbery at the First Security Bank located at 1403 Military Road in Benton.

Police say the suspect walked into the bank, pulled out a pistol and robbed the bank, leaving with an undisclosed amount of money and running towards the Hastings parking lot.

Witnesses say the man, who is described as approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a camoflage shirt and hat, blue jeans, brown work boots, black ski mask with dark colored sunglasses and black gloves, was last seen driving a 4 door off white Huyndai.

Police are asking anyone with information to to contact the Benton Police Department at 778-1171 or leave a tip at 315-TIPS. Individuals also may send an anonymous crime tip to CRIMES (274637) with the keyword BNPD in the body of the text.

dont count on the bnton police to catch him unless he walks into i hop an finds them an gives himself up. tell the robber to look in the rest room they like to use the ceiling for target practice while on te pot between the sherif acting like the sheriff on the movie white lighting an the benton police training at the rosco p.coltain acadamy of law inforcement better hope maybe bryant police can catch them for benton

Fox16; you wasted your time in posting this story.How in the heck are we in the public suppose to be able to recognize the robber, and to notify the police? What's his race....white, black, brown, yellow or what? Quit being like the jokes in Congress at being so politically correct.
