Prisons used to be prisons for punishment. Now they are practically resorts...especially for the class of people encarcerated(sp?). Bring back punishment and working in the fields. Boo hoo have to work?

This has to be a typo. There is no way someone on parole could have ever committed another crime. Not after being rehabilitated in the states fine penal system. Oh gosh Wally, what are we to do? There is only one way to try to fix this problem. I have said this time and time again. No parole, no plea deals, serve the full sentence, stiffer sentences for certain crimes (rape, child molestors, murder, violent crimes, etc.) and carry out the death penalty to those that are on death row. If they are given the death penalty, let them have their appeal, if they lose the appeal, within 7 days execute them and move on to the next one. Start actually punishing criminals instead of punishing the taxpayers by making us pay to feed and house them. Do something now or it will only get worse.
