Benton residents asked to curb power use

BENTON, AR – Constellation Energy, the company that provides power for the city of Benton, is asking customers to curb their energy usage.

Benton Utilities tells Fox 16 that a “Level III alert” was issued by Constellation Energy, which asks for a voluntary reduction in energy usage.

The reason for the “alert” is recent high temperatures are stressing the power grid through which Benton receives its power.
