No amount of money will heal these parents. Tyuchic not sure how to take your statement about taxpayers funds! I think that the family deserved this money because it should be expected that the goals and such are safe.

Who built the homemade goal? Who placed it on the play ground? Highly doubtful that DHS did.

Won't bring their baby back, but maybe some comfort and this brought attention to their cause.

When your wrong you have to pay. Seeing as their taxpayers I think they will handle it well. You think maybe they aren't taxpayers.

this is certainly a tragic accident, but i doubt dhs had any more desire to see this boy hurt than the parents, and the parents put less thought into all the possible dangers than dhs. i hope they found solace with taxpayer funds. i understand the emotional responses ensuing.
