How about finishing the four lanes to Hwy 10 first? And I agree that a road that does 55 and 60 plus on a 45 limit doesn't need to be made 6 lanes. Cantrell is a mess from all the developement on it and the traffic from the Chenal are. They could fix it with some sychronized lights but that would be too easy a fix. And yes fix the rest of LR streets before another dime is spent on a road that is better than 99% of the rest of LR

Just add the lanes and turn it into a superspeedway; be done with it. Most folks act like it's already a superspeedway from Bowman all the way to Highway 10. 45 is the speed limit? "Psh...I'll drive my fancy Jaguar or BMW however fast I want, thank you very much. Uh-oh...it's raining. Better get inside or I'll drown because my nose is stuck up in the air too high."

I've been in most states. Lots of major cities. This isn't a problem that is restricted only to Chenal or to Little Rock city planners. It's every where. It's hard to plan 20 years in the future. Widen the road. Taxes are collected to improve conditions for everyone. Why not use them for all those purposes. If you dedicate a tax collection to something and it ends with an excess why not use it for other things. I bet they aren't giving it back. As for Dallas. I've lived there. It's no better. My daughter live there now. There is no way to compare the two. It's like oranges and apples. This is just more money costing red tape from a government that needs down sizing.

What about EAST Little Rock, we are in need of a lot of road repairs. Oh I forgot we don't have all the million dollar homes that they do. We need the roads repaired BEFORE you build new ones. Get it through your stupid idiotic heads that you need to maintain what you have before you build new.

If this were Dallas or any other metropolitan area with a knowledgable planning commission, the Chenal developers would have been required to put in 6 lanes prior to the sale on one single lot and they would not be in this mess. Little Rock's planning commission is simply good ol boy hics with the IQ's of billygoats

With the construction at Shackleford and 630 making it easier for more traffic to be dumped quicker onto Financial Parkway....then Chenal (sic Shinall) Of course chenal needs to be widened. That is what we are all about...getting places faster...because we are stupid spoiled Americans that expect instant everything. Why can't we SLOW DOWN instead...You spend millions of dollars to do this so that everyone can get home 5 minutes faster. Doesn't make any sense...Build a HUGE PRISON THAT WE REALLY NEED TO LOCK UP ALL THOSE CRIMINALS YOU THREATEN US WITH: "PUTTING THEM OUT ON THE STREET IF WE DON'T PASS THE TAX TO BUILD MORE PRISON SPACE." More government waste as far as I am concerned.
